Job Title: Pediatric RN/LPN – Home Care for Special Needs Child
Location: Patchogue
Availability: Overnights: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 4:30pm – 7:30am or 7:30pm – 7:30am and Thursday 7:30pm – 7:30am.
About the Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and attentive RN or LPN to provide in-home care for a 12-year-old male with Down Syndrome. The patient has a mild respiratory condition and wears a pulse oximeter overnight for monitoring. He is at risk for choking while eating and requires close supervision during meals.
The patient is ambulatory and verbal. He attends school regularly, enjoys swimming, and loves boating and outdoor activities. This position is ideal for a nurse who is patient, observant, and enjoys working with active and engaging children in a home environment.
