This role is essential to the daily functioning and culture of the Upper School, working closely with the leadership team to promote the school's growth, development, and overall quality.
Qualifications & Desired Attributes: Key Responsibilities:
- Born-again believer in Jesus Christ, actively engaged in a Bible-believing church that aligns with the CSAGH Statement of Faith.
- Agreement with the CSAGH Constitution, Articles II, III, and XII, Section 1.
- Master's degree in Education (preferred).
- 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities (preferred).
- Valid administrative license or willingness to obtain.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Flexible, compassionate, and energetic, with the ability to foster healthy relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience handling challenging conversations with students and families.
- Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office and student management software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Life and Culture:
- Integrate biblical principles into extracurricular activities and assist in planning spiritual life events, such as chapels and retreats.
- Lead and organize student supervision needs.
- Guide the development of student culture in the Senior School grade levels, ensuring a positive and engaging environment.
- Collaborate with the Principal, Chaplain, Learning Support Team, and Counselors to support student needs.
Leadership and Support for Teachers:
- Conduct teacher observations and evaluations, providing follow-up support under the Principal’s direction.
- Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and development of new teachers.
- Model ongoing professional learning for the teaching community and oversee teacher development systems.
Academic Programs and Scheduling:
- Collaborate with the Principal on annual school-year preparation and logistical planning, including master schedules and duty assignments.
- Monitor the transition of new students, focusing on Middle to High School transitions.
- Provide leadership in academic initiatives and programming (e.g., J-Term, Spiritual Emphasis Days).
Student Discipline and Testing:
- Lead student discipline, including documentation and communication regarding infractions.
- Oversee the organization and reporting of standardized testing, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
