Overview:
Myrtle Grove Christian School is seeking dependable, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals to serve as substitute teachers. The Substitute Teacher will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining classroom order, and ensuring that students have a productive and positive learning experience in the absence of the regular teacher. The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with children, possess strong classroom management skills, and align with the Christian values of Myrtle Grove Christian School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the lesson plan left by the regular teacher to ensure a smooth continuation of the curriculum.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, ensuring they remain engaged and respectful.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Uphold the school’s mission and values, incorporating Christian principles into the classroom environment.

Qualifications:
- Hold at least an Associates Degree in an appropriate field
- Previous teaching or childcare experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom and adapt to different teaching styles.
- Profess a saving faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and accept the authority of scriptures as a guide for faith and living.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and/or walk approximately 75% of the workday.
- Speak and hear clearly.
- Operate a computer, hand-held learning devices, or other technology.
- Reach, bend, stoop, twist, and lift/move up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to participate in and supervise students in outdoor situations in different weather conditions.
