Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in various settings, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, companionship, and support to ensure the well-being and comfort of those you serve. This shift is part time with the potential of growth.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' health status and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the residents' quality of life.
- Ensure residents' rights are respected and upheld at all times.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs within the facility.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to hygiene standards.
- Support residents with dementia care by using appropriate techniques to engage them positively.
- Perform first aid or CPR when necessary, following established protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of resident rights and ability to advocate for them effectively.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
