Full Job Description
This is a great position for someone who is energized by working with children who are developmentally challenged. The people we serve are in need of compassionate care for a wide variety of things such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, cognitive delay and physical disabilities. They thrive on things like mentorship, social involvement, coaching to overcome daily challenges, and the positive attention an experienced adult can provide. Additionally, your involvement offers the parents of these children an opportunity to recharge .
We currently have shifts for In Home Caregivers to work with a variety of these special needs children throughout Sauk County. Schedules can be put together to include nearly any days and hours you can do, but please note that MOST SCHEDULES RIGHT NOW INCLUDE AFTERNOON/EVENING AND/OR WEEKEND HOURS for children.
We support our clients in the place they call home providing any non-medical needs such as respite, mentorship, daily living skills training, general companionship, meal preparation, transportation, and more.
REQUIREMENTS
* Experience providing related caregiving services: 1 Year
* Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
* Must have a reliable vehicle with insurance
* Must have reliable phone with texting capability and voicemail
* Must have mobile internet access for timekeeping
* Must be compassionate
* Must be consistently reliable and punctual
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Caregiving: 2 years
* Experience working with special needs children: 2 years
* CPR/First Aid Certification
