We are looking for children's respite caregivers who are looking to form a close one-on-one connection with a child in their care.
Working as a Respite Caregiver not only enriches the child's life that you would work with, it also helps the parents/guardians get a much-needed break.
This position offers you the opportunity to make a difference in a Child's life. Children in the respite program have varying degrees of need in the following areas, Autism Spectrum, Down Syndrome, and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Caregivers are matched with children based on care experience and work schedule availability.
Many respite caregivers take this job as a way to make a second income, yet they also find that Respite caregiving is also emotionally rewarding because of how much the child and their family truly appreciate the service and the relationship that develops.
You must be highly dependable and reliable. The child and family will be eagerly awaiting your arrival each time. The child enjoys your companionship and the parents, typically single mothers, finally get a much-needed break.
This position is the highest-paying respite caregiver opportunity in Dane County working with children. Very flexible part-time after-school hours during the week and weekend hours are available but not required!
