Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance in their daily lives. Caregivers will work in various settings including assisted living facilities, home care environments, and hospice care.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are upheld at all times.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of residents.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to hygiene standards.
- Support residents with mobility and transportation needs within the community.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy within assisted living environments.
- Familiarity with care plans and ability to implement them effectively.
- Experience in home community care or home care settings is preferred.
- Understanding of hospice care principles is a plus.
- Ability to work with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for residents when necessary.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
