Experienced Roofing Estimator – Flat Roofing Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Roofing Estimating Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to our preconstruction process, requiring expertise in evaluating roofing systems, interpreting project documents, and producing accurate, competitive bids. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of flat roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen, etc.), construction documents, and project scopes. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates and material takeoffs for commercial and residential roofing projects
• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to determine project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop competitive bids and budgets
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and walkthroughs to gather critical project information
• Track and manage bid deadlines, submissions, RFIs, and proposal documents
• Maintain historical cost data and pricing for future estimating purposes
• Provide value-engineering options and cost-saving solutions during the estimating process
• Support transition from estimate to project execution, including handoff to project managers and field teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of roofing estimating experience, preferably in commercial or multifamily flat roofing systems
• Proven ability to perform detailed takeoffs and prepare comprehensive estimates
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, installation methods, and materials
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Edge, PlanSwift), MS Excel, and reading construction drawings
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with general contractor bid processes, submittals, and project handoffs
• Bilingual in English/Korean or English/Spanish
• Familiarity with regional building codes and OSHA safety requirements

Pay: $50,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
