Position Title : PT Digital Content Creator
Department : Advancement
Reports to : Vice President for Advancement
FLSA Classification : Non-Exempt
Job Classification : Part-time, Hourly
Weekly Hours : up to 20 hours per week
Work Schedule : The work hours are set in conjunction with the supervisor and are currently set for Monday - Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Work Location : Onsite; eligible for a hybrid remote work environment upon meeting eligibility and work expectations.
ABOUT CHRISTIAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY
Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) is a fully accredited ecumenical graduate school located in Indianapolis, IN related to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and serving the whole people of God. We welcome all faiths to explore / engage in an intellectually rigorous, spiritually formative, and emotionally supportive education that equips our students to go out into all the world and serve-whether that is in the church or out in the community. CTS also offers a robust counseling program that provides professional counseling preparation and spiritual / theological integration for those training to become mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, pastoral psychotherapists, and spiritual care specialists.
POSITION SUMMARY
The PT Digital Content Creator works in close collaboration with CTS communications team to create meaningful and engaging content for all CTS social media platforms and the CTS digital newsletter, CTS Connect. Successful communication results in better brand recognition and improved engagement with the seminary's target audience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect information and materials that can be used to plan, write, present, and execute the CTS digital newsletter and social media communications plan.
- Strategic planning that includes development (content visuals), coordination, deployment, and monitoring of monthly social media messaging (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Knowledge of elements defining the foundation and core of an organization such as missions, values, and objectives.
- Social media acumen to use multiple platforms to connect with audiences, build brand recognition, and improve engagement.
- Analytical skills to monitor, assess, and report effectiveness with attention to detail.
- Social perceptiveness and awareness to produce content aligned with the mission, vision, and values of CTS.
- Knowledge of current online tools and marketing terms, including social media and digital advertising.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites products and Adobe Design Products as well as, internet, HTML coding, social media and digital graphics production strongly preferred.
