ChristianaCare is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to join our consult and liaison team with a focus on addiction and opioid withdrawal. The selected candidate will provide services at both Christiana and Wilmington hospitals working Monday - Friday, 8am- 5pm. The NP or PA will perform thorough and accurate psychiatric and substance abuse assessments on patients requiring consultation, manages patients’ opioid withdrawal and transition to medications for their opioid use disorder as needed, and will work closely with Addiction Medicine Peer Counselors and Discharge Coordinators. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or graduate from an accredited Physician Assistants program with NCCPA certification
- APRN or PA Licensure or license eligible for State of Delaware
- BE/BC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience working in a behavioral health setting preferably with experience in addictions
- BLS Certification
