THIS ROLE IS A HYBRID POSITION REQUIRING FREQUENT ON-SITE WORK- MUST BE WITHIN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE
EPIC certification preferred; if not certified, must become EPIC certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory EPIC training sessions.
Must be available to travel for EPIC training the week of 3/31/2025.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
2-3 years of experience working with Epic systems or similar EHR platform required.
High School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge of HIM processes.
Epic HIM Certification preferred for external candidates.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Epic implementation team to configure and optimize the HIM module within the Epic EHR system.
Analyze current HIM workflows and identify opportunities for improvement and alignment with Epic capabilities.
Develop and document new HIM workflows, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
Participate in system design, build, and testing activities to ensure accurate configuration of the HIM module.
Conduct data migration and conversion activities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Provide training and support to end-users, including HIM staff, clinicians, and administrative personnel.
Develop training materials, user guides, and documentation to support the implementation and ongoing use of the Epic HIM module.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to HIM processes within the Epic system, providing timely resolution and support.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and other relevant standards.
Participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Act as a liaison between the HIM department and the Epic implementation team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
