ChristianaCare Swank Center Memory Care at Wilmington is looking for a Medical Assistant.
The Swank Center provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists in geriatrics, geriatric psychiatry, and neurology who work with patients and their families to help navigate the many challenges faced when a loved one is diagnosed with dementia. We take a holistic approach to addressing the mental and physical health needs of our patients and their caregivers.

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm
Duties / Responsibilities:
As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
