Christiana Hospital is designated by the state of Delaware and verified by the American College of Surgeons as the state's only Level I trauma center for both adults. This is the highest capability possible for a trauma center. As an integral part of Delaware's trauma system, ChristianaCare provides statewide leadership and assistance with trauma response, strategic planning and education. ChristianaCare's trauma program collaborates with state and private emergency-management personnel throughout Delaware. Our Christiana ED sees patients a variety of injuries or medical conditions.

Under nursing, the primary function is to perform hygiene / comfort measures and selected nursing and phlebotomy procedures for patients under the supervision and direction of the professional nurse. Acquiring vital signs and performing EKG's are also required. We seek someone who can demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patients. Should demonstrate the ability to obtain information and identify patient needs and provide care as needed.
