What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Intensive Care Team, NP/PA position at ChristianaCare?
ChristianaCare is currently looking for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Medical Critical Care Team servicing 3 hospital campuses (1,300 beds) in Newark and Wilmington, DE and Elkton, MD. This is a full-time position with option to be standard day position or in dedicated off-shift position (swingternist, nocturnist).
The selected candidate will provide clinical management to patients in the Medical ICU with the support and collaboration by a medical intensivist as well as responding to code blues, performing ICU admissions, and managing rapid responses (Cecil campus only).
Standard Day:
- Rotate through day, evening, night, weekend shifts
- Day shift 10 or 12-hours, 7a-5p or 7a-7p
- Evening shift, 4p-2a
- Night shift, 7p-7a
- 1 in 3 to 4 weekends
- 4 off shifts (evening/night) per 4 weeks
- 1 major and 1-2 minor holidays per year
- 12-hour shift, 7:00p-7:00a rotating between Wilmington and Cecil campus
- 1 in 3 to 4 weekends
- 1 major and 1-2 minor holidays per year
- 10-hour shift, 4:00p-2:00a only at Newark campus
- 1 in 3 to 4 weekends
- 1 major and 1-2 minor holidays per year
