What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer 2025 Student Intern - SWVA Can Code Camp position at Christiansburg Middle School?
MCPS is seeking part-time student interns to support the SWVA Can Code Camp at Christiansburg Middle School June 9-26, 2025. These positions are open to current MCPS students only.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Student interns will support MCPS teachers with technology. Interns will lead small groups of campers who will use the Apple Swift platform to code and prototype an app.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 16 years of age or older
Ability to follow direction from Camp Leaders (MCPS Teachers)
Ability to work appropriately with camp participants
Ability to identify and report technology issues to proper authority
Willingness to promote and develop a friendly technology environment
Dependability and punctuality required
Dates: June 9-26 (Monday-Thursday only), 8:15am-12:15pm
SALARY: Student Interns will receive a stipend of $500
FLSA: Non-Exempt
