What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Technician - Physical Therapy - Part-Time position at Christie Clinic?
Christie Clinic's department of Physical Therapy is seeking a part-time (10 hours/week) Physical Therapy Technician at the Fields clinic with ability to cover the Rantoul clinic, as needed.
Duties include assisting in the delivery of treatment and procedures carried out in the Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine Clinic.
JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
- Perform selected duties under the supervision of the Physical Therapist including performing ultrasounds, assisting with electric stim, assisting with mechanical traction, and exercise completion.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatment. Provide patients with general needs such as water, ice, most hot pack, etc.
- Clean and straighten the Physical Therapy department. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization, stocking of linens and supplies, etc.
- Assist the receptionist with duties including check in, answering phones, scheduling, problem solving, etc.
- Perform related work as required.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 40 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. We also offer vacation pay as well as a 401k plan.
