What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN/LPN - Floats position at Christie Clinic?
Christie Clinic's department of Floats is seeking a full-time-time RN or LPN(Quarterly Bonuses Available) from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.
Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Ability to travel to satellite locations to cover departmental needs with reimbursement for mileage and travel time (per IRS guidelines). The float department travels up-to a 60-mile radius of Champaign, Illinois and has quarterly bonus eligibibilty for team members in good standing after 6 months of employment.
Candidates must possess (or in the process of obtaining) an Illinois State Nursing License and CPR. Professional nursing experience is preferred.
JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
- Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
- Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
- Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
- Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
- Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
- Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.
- Maintain and update patient medical record upon visit.
- Maintain relevant office supplies for department effectiveness.
- Attend a minimum of two monthly huddles (occurring after hours) per quarter.
- Perform related work as required.
- Travel to satellite Christie Clinic locations to cover departmental needs.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting. (amount varies by department) Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment. Ionizing radiation and medicinal preparations are also common. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s
PAY AND BENEFITS:
The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This position allows for interchangeable credentialed roles with varying pay ranges:
RN pay range: $30.30 to $41.66 USD
LPN pay range: $21.18 to $29.12 USD
