About the opportunity:
We are looking for Database administrator (Azure) to plan, design, develop, test, deploy, debug, troubleshoot and support efficient operations systems for customers, core organizational functions, and business processes. The Database Administrator will ensure system integrity and create/develop solutions for customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Design, create and develop new applications and enhance existing NOC software applications used by customers in an Azure environment.
Analyse user/process problems and design programs, applications, and reports to solve these problems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems that occur within NOC monitoring software applications and database systems.
Implement and design systems to provide ad-hoc reports, via SQL and/or Excel, that may be required by customers.
Research and learn new technologies and apply them to the current business need to reduce labor, improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Create detailed specification documents, report designs and program technical solutions.
Testing of programs and any output/updates.
Review new business processes and programs with users to ensure requirements have been satisfied.
Learn and assist with other core Christie applications as needed.
Willing to work outside of normal office hours as needed to support critical production operations.

The experience and skills we value:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Engineering
10 years of related experience.
5 years of on-the-job database administrator experience.
Ability to interpret end user/customer requirements.
Ability to document in detail any changes to applications/reports.
Ability to create and manage multiple SQL Server instances in Azure
SQL Server Reporting Services
Create and maintain SQL functions and views for use with reporting tools
Manage overall health and optimization of databases (indexes, resource utilization, fragmentation, storage)
Manage periodic production data synchronization to testing environments
Familiarity with columnstore indexes, sharded databases, & elastic pools
What Will Put You Ahead:
Strong T-SQL skills and experience developing complex SSIS packages, SSRS reports, stored procedures and views, and data warehouses.
Ability to develop complex SQL that efficiently updates and queries data across multiple tables, views and indices
Ability to manage table updates with complex foreign key constraints
Ability to interpret end user/customer requirements.
Ability to document in detail any changes to applications/reports.
Ability to create and manage multiple SQL Server instances in Azure
