As a summer intern, you will gain valuable work experience while enjoying gallery tours, team-building activities, organized events, networking opportunities, and more. This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week for nine weeks. The internship will be onsite at our Rockefeller Center offices.

How You'll Make an Impact
Perform general department administrative tasks as assigned by your line manager.
Keep all data up to date in Christie’s internal systems.
Assist specialists with provenance research, managing the department library, and maintaining consignor files.
Respond to client inquiries regarding condition reports, images, and fact sheets.
Research works for upcoming sales, including traditional research using Christie’s onsite libraries, public libraries in New York City, and online research through auction databases and other internet sources.
Assist Junior Specialists with cataloging and condition checks for consigned property.
Support the proposal preparation process.
Attend "hilling" sessions, where specialists review works and share their knowledge.
Assist with installations for auction previews, including compiling, printing, and mounting lot cards for each work.
Support analysts with client research, including Artnet searches, compiling competitive sales spreadsheets, and catalog research for object intelligence.
Contribute to social media posts by writing copy and editing images.
Review the shipping queue daily, checking for payment and facilitating the timely and compliant release of shipments.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Rising Junior or Senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in the U.S. at the time of application (graduation date between June 2026 and June 2027).
Must be able to participate and commit to completing the entirety of the program.
A passion for fine art, luxury, and the auction industry.
Strong organization skills with high level of attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication.
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to contribute ideas in a collaborative environment.
