Summary: The vascular technical staff assumes the responsibilities specified by the Lead Vascular
Technologist and, in general, is responsible for the performance of clinical examinations and other tasks assigned.
Education: Successful completion of an ultrasound, vascular technology or cardiovascular technology program.
Licensure: Appropriate credential in vascular testing.
Experience: 1 year experience as Vascular or Cardiovascular Technologist with performance of at least 600 non-invasive vascular examinations.
Skills and Abilities:
- Preparation of preliminary reports and contact referring physicians when required, according to established procedures.
- Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the vascular lab area.
- Review patient s record prior to and after the completed exam to ensure all required data is available for image interpretation.
- Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
