Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Activities Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Driving the bus on outings once a week, planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents in a senior care environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants, particularly those in assisted living and memory care settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational programs tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
- Coordinate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being, ensuring participation from all residents.
- Collaborate with caregiving staff to assess residents' abilities and preferences, adapting activities accordingly.
- Maintain an organized schedule of events and ensure effective communication of upcoming activities to residents and families.
- Monitor participation levels and gather feedback to continuously improve programming.
- Foster relationships with community partners to enhance activity offerings and provide enriching experiences for residents.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all activities, prioritizing resident safety at all times.
Requirements
- Experience in caregiving or senior care environments is preferred.
- Background in recreational therapy or related fields is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with residents, families, and staff members.
- Knowledge of memory care principles and long-term care practices is beneficial.
- A compassionate approach towards working with seniors, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.

Pay: $21.87 - $23.16 per hour
