Christopher Heights Assisted Living Community has a every other weekend part-time opportunity for an LPN (licensed practical nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) to join our team as the Weekend Coordinator. Our residents and staff bring their experiences and talents to the community, often incorporated into our social activities and programs.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Weekend Coordinator LPN or RN Weekend Coordinator assists our Resident Service Manager with service planning and coordinating Resident Care.
LPN/RN WEEKEND COORDINATOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- oversees the CNA Companion staff on the weekend
- ensures compliance with department policies, protocols, and safety measures.
- monitors staff compliance with documentation procedures.
- monitors staffing levels for CNA staff
- works with residents and their families to ensure resident care plans are reviewed and signed by resident and resident representative
Our LPN/RN weekend coordinator monitors resident health concerns and notifies the appropriate person or agency of the changes in clinical needs or condition arise.
- Collaborates with members of the management team
- The LPN/RN Weekend Coordinator performs all other duties as required, consistent with the education and skills required for this position.
LPN/RN WEEKEND COORDINATOR QUALIFICATIONS / STANDARDS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT:
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language fluently
- The position requires some pushing, pulling, and lifting under 35 pounds.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid Massachusetts state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Eligible for CPR certification and ongoing recertification
- Ability to relate positively and professionally with a diverse resident and employee population
- Demonstrated excellence in understanding and utilizing nursing assessment skills
- Working knowledge of both office and medical equipment.
- Ability to be flexible and work in an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding residents and employees
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and complete assignments promptly while managing multiple responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to be creative and have patience, high energy, and resourcefulness in problem-solving
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $44.50 per hour
