Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. As a Pizza Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive delicious and beautifully presented pizzas that meet our high standards of quality and taste.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Handle food safely and maintain proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking to management.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff on pizza preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Participate in menu development by contributing ideas for new pizza recipes or specials.
- Maintain a positive working environment by fostering teamwork and communication among staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment, with a focus on pizza preparation preferred.
- Knowledge of fine dining standards and practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and dietary requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dishes that delight customers.
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or within a dietary department is advantageous but not required.
