What are the responsibilities and job description for the CC Students Associate position at CHRISTS CHURCH?
Role Overview & Scope
The primary purpose of the CC Students Associate is to help oversee the CC Student Ministry of Middle School, and High School students. The CC Students Associate will work with everything involving 6th-12th grade students, leaders, and parents. This role plays into the larger vision of Christs Church to Make Disciples, Better Disciples, and More Disciples. As well as fitting into the vision of the Family Team to partner with parents in raising up a generation to know and follow Jesus. The primary focus of the CC Students Associate is to lead Middle School Ministry by equipping students and leaders to lead one more student to Jesus through IDENTITY and RELATIONSHIPS; and to lead High School Ministry by equipping students and leaders to lead one more student to Jesus through OWNING and GOING.
Responsibilities & Tasks
People ::
- Collaborate with the Family Ministry Director and CC Students Associate Director to ensure alignment of strategic vision for programming, curriculum, events, trips, volunteers, and parent partnerships
- Participate with Christs Church Academy on discipleship opportunities
- Recruit, equip and disciple CC Student Volunteers and build, maintain, and develop ministry teams
- Partner with parents by maintaining excellent and consistent communication
- Provide oversight of CC Students Worship team.
- Collaborate and support CC Student team members at other campuses to ensure consistency in execution of best practices
Process ::
- Provide oversight of CC Students social media and all other promotional and media outlets
- Liasson and mange first time student follow up and first impressions
- Lead strategically by addressing spiritual and emotional needs of students, families, and volunteers
- Establish consistent communications to equip and encourage volunteers
- Assist in the execution of annual events [Ie. Banana Night, slip-n-slide, etc.]
- Assist in the execution of trips [Ie. mission trips, CIY, etc.]
- Evaluate what is working well and identify opportunities to improve
- Provide congregational care by supporting major and minor events and other duties that may be required
- Participate in required staff, Family Team, and Student meetings
- Assist in the planning Student Ministry Calendar
- Assist in execution of ministry trainings for adult volunteers
Systems ::
- Utilize the designated essential tools in Rock to document and track the spiritual journey of our families and volunteers
- Follow all established volunteer assimilation best practices and guidelines
- Complete all required dashboard reporting in a timely fashion
- Utilize Office 365 suite of products, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Utilize Paycom
