- Position: Orthopedics Physician Assistant
- Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
- Work Type: Full Time
About the Opportunity:
- Team Composition: 4 Full time orthopedic surgeons, 2 Mid Levels, 1 Physical Therapist
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; OR hours vary depending on patient load
- Call: On call every 3 weekends
- Patient Distribution: 80% Outpatient; 20% Inpatient
- Patient Volumes: 20–25 patients per day in clinic; Surgical cases on surgery days will vary
Requirements:
- Experience with OR, clinical settings, intraarticular injections, casting, and splinting. Orthopedics certification preferred but not required.
- We encourage both new graduates and experienced professionals in general surgery to apply
Position Overview:
As a key member of the surgical team, you will work closely with the Chief of Orthopedics, serving as his first assist in the OR. The schedule includes:
- OR: Monday, Wednesday, and Tuesday afternoons
- Clinic: Tuesday mornings, Thursday, and Friday
