  • Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License (MRT)

Certifications :

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through The American Heart Association

    • Must-Have :

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program (ARRT)
  • Ability to understand and carry out complex medical prescriptions
  • Ability to work under pressure

    • Job Description :

  • Perform radiation therapy, radiographic procedures, and CT simulations.
  • Maintain proper treatment documentation standards.
  • Understand and actively participate in fulfilling the mission and demonstrate behavior consistent with core values.

  • Use AIDET communication to identify patient requirements, ensure correct exams, and establish rapport.
  • Instruct patients and / or families about procedures and assess patients' ability to tolerate exams.
  • Prepare patients or areas for procedures by positioning patients, using proper imaging protocols and techniques.
  • Warm up treatment machines / CT Simulator and check all safety and operational procedures, reporting issues as necessary.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, and radiation policies.
  • Maneuver patients as needed to perform job functions.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain relevant documentation such as patient history, pregnancy status, and consent forms.
  • Assist leadership in maintaining all required policies, procedures, standards, and records.
  • Promote professional growth and development through mandatory / continuing education and skills competency.
  • Ensure safe care by adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards, optimizing productivity and quality of service.
  • Equipment familiarity : Varian iX, CyberKnife, Wide Bore CT, and Mosiaq EMR.
