Job Summary:
The Data and Special Projects Assistant assists the department manager with special projects such as 990 tax report, SFP audit management, data analysis, accountability tracking, management reporting support, audit analytics, computer software selection and conversion, and forensic audit support.
Job Responsibilities may include:
1. Supports the Data and Special Projects department
2. Prepares 990 tax returns.
3. Prepares School Facilities Program grant reports.
4. Works on TeamMate Analytics and in Excel to generate analytic and audit samples to support the audit team. Train department staff to work on the analytic and audit sample generation for jobs.
5. Supports forensic and fraud audits with analytics and constructing Excel databases.
6. Using AI applications, assist the firm with new and efficient uses of AI.
7. Data conversion and entry for new software applications.
8. Assist the CFO with projects that require data entry and analysis.
9. Help create reports as needed for management and collaboration teams as requested.
10. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Advanced knowledge of Excel with certification helpful. Must know how to create and use pivot tables.
2. Experience with reporting and query tools, such as SQL, Tableau, etc.
3. At least a two-year degree (AA) in computer science, accounting, business, or related field.
4. At least one year of work experience in data analytics or related computer, accounting or audit field.
5. Solid understanding of database management, reporting, how to stay current on the latest trends and technologies in analytics.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and complete work within deadline periods.
9. Understanding of project management.
Physical Requirements of Job:
1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
2. May need to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
