What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Chroma Imaging?

We are looking to hire a Production Supervisor, our ideal candidate has experience in Trade Show, Fabrication and with operating both UV Flatbed Printers and Roll to Roll Latex and Dye-Sub printers. They must be willing to learn our other lines of business as we operate as a team to not only produce graphics but a wide range of different mediums, such as Trade Show Booths, PPE’s, and other custom products/solutions. The Production Manager reports to the Senior Director of Production and works alongside their Team to produce the required orders. During our busy production seasons, it is critical that the Supervisor not only schedule production so that jobs are completed when needed, they must also instill a positive outlook with the team.
Production Supervisor:
Required skills and qualifications;
- Must have Tradeshow experience/background
- Must to be level headed, as priorities can change hourly
- Managing priorities that on occasion can change by the hour
- Managing Inventory (review orders to see what is needed), and ensure that stock is available on the floor for standard materials
- Must assist in Production
- Time flexibility – Overtime is occasionally required and can be needed with little notification
- Ability to manage 4-8 Team Members
- Troubleshooting/Problem solving – when equipment or printing jobs malfunction, should be able to assist in finding the solution or when reviewing orders offer more efficient solutions
Preferred skills and qualifications;
- Understand Sq/Ft (Digital Print Experience not Offset)
- Understand Digital Printing (Large Format, Grand Format, and Flatbed)
- Color management – be versed in color theory and processing colors for print graphics
- Printer Maintenance/Printer Calibration/Profiling
- Mechanically inclined – needed for installing and repair equipment
- Laminating – Applying overlam to self-adhesive vinyl
- Physical fitness – routinely lift 25 pounds or more and must occasionally move 50 pounds or more
Daily Functions, include but not limited to;
- Discuss production concerns with the VP of Production
- Prioritizing work orders for Printing & Finishing – Work with the Print & Finishing teams to organize orders in the most efficient and productive manner so that each event ships when needed
- Order substrates, supplies and needed materials for the warehouse
- Setup pick-up and deliveries
- Problem Solving to ensure that production progresses smoothly, assist with diagnosing issues with equipment, and assisting the Design team with deciding best substrate and production method
- Assist with graphics production; print, trim, pack, ship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
