The Project Management Director resides in the Program Office and is responsible for leading a team of project managers responsible for the execution of large, business critical projects across the Chromalloy enterprise. The primary objective of this position is to lead cross functional teams in the development of new-make hardware from initial reverse engineering, product design, manufacturing readiness to low-rate initial production. This position is responsible for all aspects of the projects and accountable for ensuring successful execution and revenue conversion. Typical responsibilities include schedule creation, budget and business case, staffing, critical path analysis, and risk management. The Director will have both tactical (ownership of major projects) and supervisory (leading a team of project managers) responsibilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of project managers in the successful execution of development projects as well as provide mentoring and guidance to further develop their project management skills
- Lead a cross-functional team (engineering, operations, finance, quality) to develop an integrated program plan for the development of new make hardware.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements.
- Manage project resource allocation.
- Plan and manage project timelines.
- Provide regular data-based updates on the project progress to the senior leadership team at Chromalloy.
- Create detailed risk assessments and ensure proper mitigation steps are in place to successfully achieve the objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering or manufacturing preferred) and 10 years of Program Management experience within Operations or Engineering.
- Direct experience in the fields of aerospace or turbine engines
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management; PMP Certification preferred.
- Proficient in project management techniques and software
- Direct work experience in project management/demand planning capacity.
- Operations experience and knowledge of manufacturing elements (i.e., process instructions, tooling development, CapEx capacity analysis)
- Strong financial acumen and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, earned value management.

- Job location preferred is Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Remote work possible based on applicant’s experience (Eastern Time Zone preferred).
- Travel required: 30%
