Expert CAD Designer/Modeler
Join Chromalloy as a Subject Matter Expert, CAD Designer/Modeler. The role involves creating and modifying CAD models and drawings for aerospace and industrial gas turbine components. In this role you will develop innovative solutions to enhance the performance of Chromalloy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Participate in communities of practice, lead teams, ensure compliance with health and safety policies, and provide feedback on CAD team performance.
• Modeling: Develop and modify CAD models for various analyses and create best practices.
• Drawing: Apply drafting standards and GD&T, create and modify CAD drawings, and perform tolerance stack-ups.
• Characterization: Reverse engineer components, use proper measuring tools, and document best practices.
• Data Interrogation: Manipulate complex data, understand casting geometries, and document best practices.
• Inspection: Apply nesting techniques, conduct tolerance studies, and document best practices.
• Manufacturing: Understand casting and machining processes and troubleshoot tooling and fixturing.
• Component Familiarity: Have a moderate understanding of gas turbine engines and their components.

Education & Experience:

• AA/AS degree, technical school certificate, or equivalent experience
• 15 years of experience in modeling and characterizing complex gas turbine parts, particularly cooled turbine airfoils.
• Ability to problem-solve and foster innovation to improve performance
• Experience managing important and challenging projects and an understanding of systems beyond specialty.
• CAD Software: Creo, NX, Geomagic, GOM, Teamcenter
• Measuring Equipment: Calipers, Micrometers, CMM, ATOS, FARO
