What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Worker 1st shift position at Chromalloy?
SUMMARY:
A Metal Worker will process two or more metal pieces and connect them buy heating and flowing a filler metal into the joint and gluing them together without melting the base material - Braze work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Blending of surfaces and applying or removing excess material with hand tools or machinery
Set-up and use of various machines, fixtures, and tools, mixing production materials
Part modification to specifications, Must follow production specifications at all times
Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities
Regular and reliable attendance
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
Good reading comprehension skills
Experience in manufacturing, industrial or construction environment (preferred)
Manufacturing certification a plus
