What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Technician position at Chromalloy?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The NDT technician performs non-destructive inspection of components to ensure compliance with Company’s quality system, specifications, and customer requirements. Non-destructive testing disciplines include penetrant testing and radiography testing.
Job Duties
Analyze, Interpret, evaluate and document NDT inspection results in accordance with company procedures, work instructions, applicable standards, specifications and procedures
Record inspection, test data and statistics manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based system
Certification in FPI or Radiography preferred
Use of comparators, micrometers, scales and calipers
Ensure completeness of work in process documentation
Read, interpret and set up applicable NDT equipment
Read and interpret all inspection data and customer requirements
Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities
Ensure compliance with Quality Manual
Qualifications
Able to achieve Level I in required NDT methods (following training)
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
The specific LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATIONS required for this position are:
Certified NDT Technician (following training) preferred
Must pass applicable vision test if required
