What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Inspector 2nd shift position at Chromalloy?
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with Company Repair Station Manual/ Quality Manual
Analyze, Interpret, evaluate and document NDT inspection results in accordance with company procedures, work instructions, applicable standards, specifications and procedures
Record inspection, test data and statistics manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based system
Use of comparators, micrometers, scales and calipers
Ensure completeness of work in process documentation
Read, interpret and set up applicable NDT equipment
Read and interpret all inspection data and customer requirements
Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities
Ensure compliance with Quality Manual
Requirements/Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years related experience.
Must be able to speak and understand English.
Ability to determine and implement the most practical and economical method of using tools, gauges, fixtures and parts.
Skilled in reading and interpreting complex blueprints.
Knowledgeable of machine shop practices.
Maintains accurate paperwork and records. Proficient in shop mathematics, including decimals
