Summary:
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of an aviation parts warehouse and logistics operation. This includes managing inventory, coordinating shipments, supervising staff, ensuring a safe work environment, and implementing procedures to optimize warehouse processes.
You will provide day-to-day management of the warehouse and logistics operations to ensure on-time delivery of high quality, FAA-regulated products to customers and suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels, receive and inspect incoming goods, manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
Implement strategies to optimize storage space and product rotation.
Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and place orders with suppliers.
Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
Warehouse Operations:
Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and procedures to maximize productivity.
Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule deliveries and pickups.
Logistics Operations:
Oversee logistic operations including efficient use of freight forwarders and shipping companies.
Lead and motivate Logistics Supervisor and related team members.
Qualifications:
Minimum High School diploma or GED
BA, BS preferred
5 years of progressive industry experience
3 years in a warehouse or similar operating environment at the supervisor or manager level
3 or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees
