The Role:
The Sales Manager for Mexico is responsible for developing and executing a dynamic sales strategy aimed at driving business growth, expanding market share, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role involves formulating and managing comprehensive sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans to achieve set sales goals. The Sales Manager will lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team of Outside and Inside Sales Personnel as well as Channel Partners, ensuring the successful attainment of sales targets. Additionally, the position requires direct involvement in securing key opportunities, managing high-stakes negotiations, and maintaining strong relationships with strategic clients to ensure long-term business success and market dominance in Mexico.
This role is located in Mexico City or Monterey.
Your Responsibilities, not limited to:
- Deliver exceptional value-added services that distinguish the company’s offerings, creating long-term, sustainable customer partnerships and driving meaningful benefits for clients.
- Actively drive sales growth across New Projects and Aftermarket segments, including replacement parts, components, and specialized services.
- Lead technical seminars, provide comprehensive technical information, and proactively pursue customer needs to ensure optimal solutions and satisfaction.
- Build and maintain trust with customers, ensuring follow-through on all commitments and taking decisive action to meet and exceed their expectations.
- Continuously gather, analyze, and update market intelligence on industry trends, competitors' conditions, projected growth, profitability, and market share to inform strategic decisions.
- Track, analyze, and report on major projects, ensuring adherence to company systems and requirements.
- Set and adjust pricing strategies within Delegation of Authority Guidelines by closely monitoring costs, market competition, and supply-demand dynamics.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements by attending educational workshops, reviewing relevant publications, networking with peers, and participating in professional societies to maintain technical expertise.
- Establish clear sales objectives by forecasting annual sales quotas for regions and territories and projecting expected sales volume and profitability for both existing and new products.
- Implement national sales initiatives by developing and executing detailed field sales action plans.
- Collaborate with Application Engineers, Business Development, Marketing and the MSSE team to develop and execute strategies that successfully secure strategic market projects.
- Actively contribute to the development and execution of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies tailored to the region, aligning with overall organizational goals.
- Continuously monitor the performance of the sales team within the region, reallocating resources and adjusting tactics as needed to optimize overall results and meet targets.
- Foster strong, ongoing relationships with key accounts (strategic, targeted customers, and engineering firms), while supporting Chromalox’s global initiatives with strategic account management.
- Manage and oversee sales support functions, including sales administration, customer service, distribution, invoicing, and credit collections, ensuring accurate and timely processing, dispatch, invoicing, and payment of customer orders.
- Play a key role in promoting and upholding Spirax Sarco’s Code of Conduct, ensuring compliance within sales channels and during customer interactions, fostering an environment of ethical behavior and accountability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, B.S. in Engineering preferred.
- 8-10 years Industrial sales experience, preferably in the Industry.
- Familiarity with products, markets, analytical tools, database & PC software.
- Full English command, written and spoken.
- The candidate must be able to travel to the USA.
- Expected travel time 70-80%
