What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Associate position at Chromascape Inc.?
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
- To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company.
- While performing any procedure, all associates and contract personnel must observe applicable Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental rules and guidelines.
- The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required.
- Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
- Adhere to appropriate company operating procedures, benefit rules, employment, safety and quality policies.
- Actively participate in CLEAN initiatives and culture.
- Load product onto trailers, and unload raw materials and supplies for production use.
- Verify all products received meet all qualifying criteria:
- Correct Lbs.
- Undamaged Material
- There is a Purchase Order to receive against
- Verify all products shipped meet all qualifying criteria:
- Correct product
- Correct customer
- Correct trucking company
- Fill out and check accuracy of paperwork for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Receive purchase orders into business information system.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
- Perform re-packaging of product from one container when required.
- Assist in organizing inventory, both raw materials and finished product.
- Perform inventory and cycle counts.
- Assist in training other production associates in the area of shipping and receiving as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.

- Competent / comfortable with use of information technology.
- State accredited high school diploma, GED, and / or comparable work experience.

- Mental and physical dexterity to facilitate machine operation and physical ability to obtain respirator clearance.
- The noise level in the work environment is often loud.
