Position Description
The Salon Manager is responsible for efficient execution and management of day to day front desk operations, general salon oversight, and ensuring exceptional client experience. This role is responsible for a variety of tasks including client and general manager support, inventory management, as well as maintaining salon operation and cleanliness standards. This candidate must be a leader who exemplifies the Chromatique culture, is capable of taking initiative and making decisions, and has a positive attitude. This candidate also must maintain a professional appearance and have exceptional time management, organization, and communication skills.
The ideal candidate for this position has an open and flexible schedule, positive attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Essential Duties
- Training and motivating all new hires in their specific role expectations and company policies
- Fill in for coverage in the absence of front desk associate scheduled
- Daily completion of routine opening and closing checklist
- Daily time clock review and corrections
- Uphold salon cleanliness and organization standards
- Set and uphold the role standards for the front desk team
- Coordinate facility maintenance repairs as necessary
- Support with staff appreciation and salon meeting set up
- Submit weekly inventory restock requests to the general manager
- Operate and maintain inventory management and organization systems
- Navigate client concerns and frustrations and provide prompt resolutions
- Active participation in weekly leadership meetings
- Oversee day to day salon operations to ensure an elevated client experience
- Manage the onsite staff in an emergency situation
- Management of telephone and email communications with clients and team members
- Maintain salon professionalism and Chromatique culture standards at all time
- Participation in all salon and one on one meetings and trainings
- Appropriate management of appointment bookings and staff schedules
Required Education:
- 2 years of experience working in a customer service role
- Management experience required
- Experience working in a fast paced, client facing environment
- Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, Google Sheets
- Inventory management experience
- Ability to handle monetary transactions

This is an indoor-based position located in a salon environment. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high.
