PLANT CONTROLLER

ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and practically minded Site Controller. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial records and overseeing all site-level financial reporting and control processes. The Site Controller will handle intricate accounting functions, support month-end close activities, and contribute to audits, tax filings, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring all reporting is accurate, timely, and in line with accounting standards (GAAP).
- Prepare complex journal entries and collaborate cross-functionally to gather relevant data to support financial activities.
- Implement and ensure adherence to all corporate financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory valuations, product costing, and work-in-progress reporting.
- Review monthly variances related to product absorption and lead efforts to resolve discrepancies.
- Provide responses to financial queries by analyzing and interpreting key data.
- Approve or reject financial transactions while ensuring proper coding within the general ledger.
- Manage the external audit process, preparing required documentation and working with auditors.
- Handle capital project accounting, including cost evaluations and return on investment analyses.
- Collaborate with finance leaders to streamline and centralize accounting processes across multiple sites.
- Compile, review, and distribute routine and ad hoc financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial data for in-depth business reviews at the divisional level.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, addressing any discrepancies.
- Analyze and interpret statistical data for monthly financial reporting on KPIs.
- Coordinate and oversee business capital projects, including approval processes and expenditure tracking.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Proven experience in balance sheet reconciliation
- Proficiency in financial report writing
- Knowledge of corporate accounting practices
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements
- Ability to work with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- University Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 6 years experience in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
