What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sewing Manufacturing Engineer Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturing position at Chronos Consulting?
The Role : Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for : Cooperatingduring the launch phase of new processes and equipment toproduction and analyze future risks in production and require solutionsandverification of the supplier's performance in cooperation of equipment andprocess engineer.Verifying the defined process parameters, with a preliminary capacity study toensure that the defined ranges will meet the expectation in production, then createthe Data Sheets appropriately.Validatingof the process and characteristics based on specifications usingstatistical methods ejm. SPC, CpK Studies, DOE.Coordinatingwith Quality to create "samples" for preseries and production seriesbased on specifications andtraining key people using validated work instructions incooperation with production and support of pilot line and preseries.Providing maintenance with the necessary documentation (part history of eachprocess, data sheets, etc.) and reviewing the planning of engineering changes inproduction, identify the effects and send the information to coordination ofengineering changes.Determining possible risks in production in order for actions to be taken.Supporting production in series (eg Scrap, Productivity, etc.) and develop andevaluate potential improvements (costs, quality, cycle time) focused on increasingefficiency.Perform process validation annually, analyzing their capacity, CpK andmaintainprocess documentation updated at all times and conductprocessoptimization analysis..Actively participate in all activities and programs of the company (Quality, Ideas forImprovement, Training, Human Resources, Safety, Hygiene and Environment, etc.)The Requirements : Bachelor´s Degree with a minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.Solid experience with sewing processes in the Automotive industry.Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques.Solid knowledge in Problem solving tools, AMEF / PFMEA and SPC.Advanced English ismandatory.
