Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and mental health assessments for patients.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide triage services to prioritize patient care effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Utilize electronic health records (InSync by Qualifacts) for documentation and coding purposes.
- Engage in utilization management to optimize resource use and patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participate in clinical supervision and monthly case staffing meetings.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health, preference given to those with experience in treating pediatrics.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Familiarity with coding practices related to mental health services.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
