About The Role
As a Child Welfare Licensing Coordinator, you’ll take charge of critical supervisory tasks, including:
- Facilitating foster parent licensing, training, and re-licensing.
- Supporting foster/adoptive families with essential resources and tools.
- Overseeing child placements, behavior management plans, and crisis interventions.
- Coordinating with case managers, juvenile probation officers, and other team members.
- Recruiting, training, and evaluating foster parents.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage licensing and contracting processes for foster care programs.
- Recruit, train, and supervise foster parents to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Complete administrative duties and reports on time.
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to meet program standards.
- Represent the organization professionally in all interactions, including community outreach and crisis interventions.
- Maintain program compliance with all laws, policies, and accreditation requirements.
- Support foster parents with performance evaluations, training, and crisis management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years working with at-risk youth.
- Certifications: State of Florida Child Welfare Certification.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of child development norms and behavior intervention techniques.
- Proficiency with clinical documentation systems, email, and online tools.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Bilingual candidates are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to travel.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to pass annual background checks and maintain required training (40 hours annually).
