Job Description
Support supply chain activities, primarily in the US and Mexico, including international shipments and procurement activities.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Sourcing/ Supplier Development & Management
- Develop RFQs/RFPs/RFIs: Create requests based on project and select suitable suppliers/logistic partners.
- Evaluate Supplier Responses: Analyze responses to choose optimal suppliers based on project needs
- Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and finalize supplier contracts; maintain and update as necessary.
- Supplier Relations: Build and sustain effective communication and strong relationships with suppliers.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Update and send KPIs, and address underperformance issues.
2. International and Inter-company Transaction Management
- Process Purchase Orders Promptly
- Ensure On-Time Delivery
- Manage Safety Stock Levels
- Coordinate Dangerous Goods Shipments
3. Data/Document Management
- Database Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date information in the PLEX ERP system.
- Freight Tracking: Record and monitor freight quotes.
- Shipping Documentation: Prepare accurate, timely shipping documents.
- Compliance and Documentation: Update work instructions, understand department risk assessments, and ensure adherence to Chrysan's Quality Management System.
4. Supply Chain Compliance
- Ensure Trade Compliance: Support import and export regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate Quality Assurance: Work with Quality/Technical teams to confirm suppliers meet quality and safety standards.
5. Supply Chain Optimization
- Optimize Supplier Agreements: Regularly negotiate with suppliers to improve costs, services, terms and conditions.
- Monitor Market Trends: Track commodity costs and exchange rates, negotiating savings per market.
- Verify Freight Costs: Ensure billing aligns with quotes and periodically benchmark freight rates for competitiveness.
6. Any other tasks as assigned by your Manager.
Education, Experience, Certification and Training Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in supply chain, with a focus on logistics management, sourcing, and international trade; preference for automotive and chemical/lubricant industries experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, plus proficient in Spanish and/or Korean languages.
