Role & Responsibility:
In conjunction with the manager and director, provides day to day clinical supervision of assigned school nurse clinical staff. Duties may also include providing direct services between multiple school sites as needed. This position ensures clinical excellence in service delivery, efficient workflows, and program performance monitoring in order to provide a safe and positive patient, family, provider and school partner experience with a focus on improved clinical outcomes.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross.
Experience
Minimum of three years professional nursing experience working with children and families.
- Two years leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
Knowledge of patient care, care coordination, utilization management or case management.
Knowledge of electronic medical record and documentation standards.
Proven communication and interpersonal skills which involve collaborating with peers, leaders, families, community partners and administrators on policy/ procedural issues.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities in order to resolve complex clinical, systems, and personnel problems.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
This job provides services in a setting where there is a potential for exposure to blood and other high risk body fluids, chemotherapy agents, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals and waste.
