What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Educator position at CHS Hershey Center?
The Early Childhood Educator will support the implementation of classroom lesson plans linked to child outcomes, program development, and classroom routines and schedules. This individual will participate in classroom coaching cycles, engage with children to support development and learning, and supervise a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Lead Teacher and Associate Teacher in implementing daily program activities
- Participating in classroom coaching cycles to enhance teaching practices
- Engaging with children to support their cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Providing a safe and healthy environment that promotes children's physical and emotional well-being
- Recognizing the needs of individual children and providing targeted support
- Communicating effectively with families through approved channels
- Maintaining accurate attendance and meal participation records
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, CDA Accreditation preferred; 1 year experience working with children from birth - 5 years; Level A or B certification in the PA ECE Career Pathway preferred.
