What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Support Specialist position at CHS Hershey Center?
The Preschool Support Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality early childhood education at our center. This individual will work closely with the Lead Teacher and Associate Teacher to implement classroom lesson plans, participate in coaching cycles, and engage with children to support their development and learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and education to young children.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Lead Teacher and Associate Teacher in planning and delivering educational programs
- Participating in regular coaching cycles to enhance teaching practices
- Engaging with children to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Supervising a safe and healthy environment for children
- Communicating effectively with families and other stakeholders
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, CDA Accreditation preferred; 1 year experience working with children from birth - 5 years; Level A or B certification in the PA ECE Career Pathway preferred.
