Job Details
DUTIES:
- Performs all functions of a respiratory therapist.
- Reads, signs, and transcribes physician orders accurately.
- Promptly calls physician for clarification of orders or medication when necessary.
- Maintains department records and files.
- Documents treatments and medication on patient charts.
- Always respects the confidentiality of patient records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program with a minimum of an AAS Degree.
- Must be registered, certified, or registry-eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Therapist by the N.Y.S. Dept. of Education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position requires knowledge of mechanical ventilators, blood gas analyzers, and other medical equipment utilized to deliver various modalities of respiratory treatments to the patient.
- Must have computer skills to include laboratory information systems and hospital information systems.
Salary Range
USD $42.30 - USD $54.68 /Hr.
