What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at CHUBurger?
SUMMARY:
Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must have a strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, craft beers and wines.
Strong work ethic- able to work in a fast-paced environment for prolonged periods of time.
Answer guest questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner.
The individual must present a professional appearance and engage guests with a polite manner. Bartenders should be able to anticipate the guest needs and should greet each guest promptly making all guests feel important all while having fun and increasing sales.
Applicants should have extensive knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and properly handle cash and credit card transactions.
Applicants should be high-energy, enthusiastic individuals who have a strong sense of urgency, positive attitude and strong people skills.
Previous professional bartending experience is required.
Check identification of customers, to ensure that they are of legal drinking age.
Must have or obtain a current TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol Certification.
Cicerone certification is a plus.
Must abide by all Oskar Blues standards and State liquor laws while serving.
Be 21 years of age.
Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
