Greenhouse Team Member - Watering
This is a seasonal position for Spring and will begin in mid/late April and will end some time in June
Job Description
Chuck Hafner’s Garden Center believes in providing the customer with the highest quality and value. As a Greenhouse Team Member you will work in the retail greenhouses watering and caring for the many plants Chuck Hafner’s offers. Each day the Greenhouse Team Member efficiently provides customer service through answering questions and assisting customers while completing the primary task of watering and stocking. You will work in close coordination with a direct supervisor who will be responsible for your training and scheduling. The successful candidate is hardworking, good at following procedures and is detail oriented. The Greenhouse Team Member has an essential role in maintaining the plants to the high-quality standards Chuck Hafner’s customers have grown to appreciate.
Essential Functions
- Watering
- Stocking

- Clipping/trimming
Required Skills
- Enthusiasm for plants and willingness to learn on the job
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with fluctuating temperatures
Preferred Experience
- Experience growing or maintaining plants in a retail or production environment
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak, use their hands and reach with arms. The employee needs to be able to freely access all areas of the store and growing facility by standing & walking for entirety of the shift, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 (fifty) pounds if required.
