Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Works as an active member of the plant operations team, including sharing responsibility for on-call schedules and responding to plant outages.
- Participate in all normal plant operations tasks such as startup and shutdown, daily checks, record keeping, maintenance, housekeeping, and process adjustment.
- Responsible for instrument calibration cycles, controls troubleshooting, and implementing changes or updates to the control system.
- Responsible for ensuring all automated data logging is functioning properly and data logs are backed up on a regular basis.
- Maintains daily operation logs for shift in accordance with prescribed standards.
- Performs regular inspection and maintenance on plant process and associated equipment.
- Undertakes electrical and mechanical fault finding, repair, and reporting.
- Assists in planning maintenance and outage activities.
- Monitors equipment to measure, record and adjust within operating parameters, perform fault finding and repair as well as required scheduled maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level, as applicable to the position requirement.
- Ability to successfully pass any employment background check and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record as pertinent to the position.
- Able to understand and troubleshoot a variety of sensor systems including pressure transmitters, thermocouples, and proximity switches.
- Proficient using computers at an intermediate level.
