Job Overview
The Transportation Quality Control Inspector is responsible for all quality inspection issues as they apply to the functional operation of the contract and their assigned functional areas of CE, Supply, and Transportation.
Work Model: Onsite/In-Office
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Act as the shop-level point of contact for all inspection issues, including regulatory compliance.
- Conduct inspections on various company performed work activities including preventive, corrective unplanned, and Work Orders, as well as inspections on work conducted by subcontractors.
- Conduct other inspections and audits as directed including process audits, contract compliance audits, QMS audits, and audits/inspections of other company and contract related activities.
- Conduct continuous improvement activities including but not limited to corrective and preventive actions, training, and assessing customer feedback.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Ability to perform quantitative analysis
- Knowledge of industry standards for Quality Control
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations
- Knowledge of their assigned functional area
- Skill in the use of common office equipment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government National Agency Check (NAC) clearance and/or security clearance if required.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record pertinent to this position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
